Ordering a custom-made cover doesn’t have to be a project you put on the side burner.
We’ve put together an easy way of ordering a custom-made cover. But here are some tips to make sure you get the most from your Cover It experience.

The classic material we use is a 380gsm, double-backed PVC. It is waterproof, rot-resistant and UV stabilised to ensure that your cover and your cover lasts a long time in our country’s harsh sun and rain. It’s the only material we’ve found that has satisfied us with its quality. Plus, it comes in five colours!
Don’t worry about getting a good fit – we will add 3-5cm to the length and width you supply so that your cover comes on and off with ease. Unless you want a loose fit, don’t add extra to your measurements – we’ll do that for you.
Speaking of measurements, make sure you measure from the widest point of the object you want to cover.
Sometimes this isn’t as easy as it sounds, particularly when your object is wider at the top then the bottom. A desk chair is like that, the back flares out from the seat. So, the depth of the cover needs to not only include the base, but also the amount by which the back protrudes from it.
A handy tip to measure this is to press the widest part of the object against a wall and measure from the wall to the widest point. In this case, I’d push the back of the chair against the wall and measure from the wall to the farthest point of the seat. For something harder to push against a wall, a second set of eyes and hands might be useful.
“Measure twice, cut once.” Double check all your measurements – we can only work off the measurements you give us. If one of your measurements is wrong, we won’t know. Only you can avoid an ill-fitting cover, and prevention is the key.
If you don’t have the object you want to cover there to measure, resist the temptation to use the measurements supplied on the website. These are usually rough measurements, and if you want a good fit more precise ones are preferable. We don’t want you to order a cover to the wrong measurements.
If you do not have your object on hand, and you cannot wait until you do to measure it up, we recommend asking the supplier for accurate measurements or, in case the supplier’s measurements are inaccurate too, wait until you have it and then measure it up.
